This is what the UPHCA is working to do to prevent more of these situations from happening.  It was one of our Washington County members that was called in to fix the issues that Black Diamond did.  Yes we are posting the name of the company that KSL wouldn’t.  Click the link to view the article.  This is wrong to have predatory companies up selling to those of the public in certain demographics that are taken advantage of.  Many of these companies are owned by out of state investment companies that only care about their bottom line and their business tactics are not good for Utah residents..  ‘Apprentice Plumbers’ are sent out, many times on solely on commission and the ‘good salesmen’ are making well beyond $200k/year.  Yes, the State did catch this particular issue when they were told about the poor workmanship.  How many times are these type of companies “caught” and prosecuted?  The UPHCA is attempting to provide resources to the general public providing them with “Qualified” locally owned and operated companies, Utahplumbing.org.
